S2000 Transmission
How is the transmission on the S2000...is there grinding in any gears...I heard people complain about a grind when shifting from 1st to 2nd.
Is there anything in particular I should know about? What year S2000s have the a problem with the tranny?

New S's shouldn't be a problem. Major fixes to 2002 tranny.
Pre 2002:
Grinding 1-2 is fixed for free - TSB00-055
Rumble in clutch, free - TSB00-054
4th Gear slips to neutral, free fix - TSB01-100
Not all cars have these problems; some have none of them. They are mostly irritations if they occur and like I've said, Honda fixes no hassles. All in all a great tranny.

I think even some MY2002 S2Ks have the grind. It really depends on how you shift the car. Slow and smooth is the way to shift this tranny. Remember, forcing it in isn't always the fastest way.
