Their cost listed for insurance is a lot lower than reality for some of us due to being young.

Basically that's correct, but I'm sure it varies by state. What it really means is that I'm financially responsible for my own screwups.

is it worth it? how do you deal with the risk that you might injure someone else or hit a ferrari, etc? i wanna do it if it makes sense.

My mom use to tell me to "act your age," but at my age now that's probably a very bad idea.

I've always told my friends driving a sports car is living having a high maintence gf. Its gonna cost you but dayammmm...

We can afford it, lets just enjoy it!

is there anyone paying $2500 for insurance in their 5th year of ownership? I find that inordinately high. I had a major insurance claim (>$10,000) 3 months prior to insuring my S and it was still $1000 less than edmund's quote.. I'm not old either
