S2000, TT, Boxster, Miata...
Thing is.... I have always loved S2k lines (when driving I noticed the line in the hood, loved it)
The hold back from me was the plastic window, and dash..
But the sum of the rest of the parts more than make up for the dash.
NOW.. How to leap frog the guy on the board ahead of me..?? Suggestions??

Great news !!! This will be the longest month you've ever experienced ! Hate the wait.
Enjoy !! What's the weather like down there? Hope not to cold, the S02s on the rear lose their grip starting at 50 F and at 25 F, either great fun or very dangerous, depending on your driving skills.
You have to wait for the 600 mile break-in point before you can VTEC (take her over 6 grand). Goto the FAQ page and under General Maintenance click on SERVICE UPDATES . It's the latest on what Honda has to say about oil consumption, what oil to use, and the break-in period.

Up until yesterday the Temp has been in the 50's here. This week it is turning colder. The way I see it, get the car at the end of January have Feb to break in the car then top down in March...
Still cant believe I am doing this - the car is a total "want". Not looking fwd to the first payment

I too prefer the Boxster dash ... the digital dash was probably my biggest turn-off from the S2000 when I was getting it. I got it despite the dash as the car just did everything else too well. Now it's a year later and I still prefer analog dashes over digital but I'm very used to the S2000's digital. It's very functional and it won't take you long to get used to it.

REAR WHEEL DRIVE (HATE torque steer)

Also, concidering that this is one of your 'criterias', then the TT should be of your list as that is nowhere close to a RWD. Yes, it has a 4WD but the feel and characteristics is traditional Front-wheel-drive. I know that you've already decided on the S2000, but really, you had no choice as you 'criterias' eliminated allthe other cars from your list :-)
Anyway, you sound like someone who likes to 'drive' cars. If that is so then you can't go wrong with the S2000 - closest thing to a race car you're going to get for the road.

On your first run in VTEC, and changing gears in a corner, you were lucky not to loose it. Like the 289/427 A.C. Cobras the S2000 sticks like glue and then 'away'. With your new car I would suggest taking your time, during the break-in period, to learn the S2000's handling and braking performance off power and at low revs in a parking lot open at night or better yet a driving school. All cars, but especially high performance sport cars, are more fun and can be safe, if you know their and your envelope of competence.
