Default S2000 vs. the Car Wash

I went to the car wash yesterday( one of those ones where your car just goes through) and they wouldn't let me in! I have the hardtop(replaced the soft top from a bad bad incident), and I thought since I had that I could run it through the carwash. They said something about my car being too small? They were talking too fast and I was just pissed off. So I ended up washing it at home...did this happen to any of you guys?

Oh, BTW . I just found this site, so hi.

They did you a favor. If they didn't want your money, it's because they figured it would cost them more on the other end (ie something might have screwed up your car).

Taking your S to an automatic car wash is a

The only car I'll put through one of those is a rental.

SHAME ON YOU! Get outside in a bikini and rub soap on it the right way. Then wax it.

High pressure water on the seals is not good for the S, the hardtop is the same as the softtop seal wise. says right in the manual NOT to do that!

That's seems a lil odd to me b/c i've had a friend of mine bring his S through one of those car washes w/o any problems. Either way i always find washing ur car yourself more self-gratifying.

I take mine to those self-wash bays, and if you don't pull the trigger (or whatever it's called), water and soap will still shoot out, under much lower pressure. But apart from that, what do you guys, without a house to wash it at, do to wash the S?
