Ok,

I live in Norway, so I'm pretty used to drive in snowy condition with RWD. (Volvo 940tic) Also, I wouldn't dream of buying cheap winter tires, so thats no problem
I also agree that both Blizzak and Hakkapelitta are good tires.

Thanks,

Hello all,

I'm looking into buying one of these fantastic cars But my main concern is that i have to use it all season. Is it like impossible to drive it in the winter season? Is it much harder to drive than other RWD cars? (winter time)

Thanks,

Anbjornk
If you've already discounted trying to drive on the stock tyres all winter then I would say the S2000 is a good winter drive - the power is very progressive, and you don'y have to VTEC it

The Scottish S2K contingent have a hardcore of nutters who love the snow.

Buy one - you'll love it

So it shouldn't be any problems controlling this car in the winter then (Since I'm also a skilled driver )

I just completed my first winter with my S wearing Blizzaks. I tried to avoid driving in raging snow storms when possible, but did have to drive home one day after a rain to ice to sheavy wet snow event. The roads were essentially snow covered ice. I had not probs. Kept it nice and easy and was doing about 40 where I normally do about 60. The last half mile home is up a moderately stepp hill after a stop/left turn. I jsut eased it into the turn, kept the revs reasonalble and drove up the hill in a perfectly straigh line.

Just drove this winter on Michelin Arctic Alpins up here in the snowy Upstate NY region. No problems and due to the 50/50 balance was the best winter driver ever. If I do this next year, I might get a hardtop to preserve the softtop. The heater is excellent and even with a softtop,
I was toasty warm. GET IT NOW!

I drove my s2k all of last winter on bridgestone blizzacks without a problem. Just keep your revs low and don't tailgate. Use common sense and good snow tires and you'll be fine.
