Default S2000s with 4/5+ owners

I made a status update about S2000s with 4/5+ owners, hurting the S2000 game. There are tooo many people who buy this car and sell it within a year, a lot within 6 months and a decent amount who owned for less then 3 months. One guy in the classifieds was selling his after 3 days.
I think the most I seen was 7 owners for a Ap1.
It's not good thing when potential buyers see a 2006 with 4 owners.
Too many lame excuses for selling it too. Not just on here, but Autotrader and Craigslist too.

S2000 is not a car "normal" people would keep for a long time. Many buy it impulsively and find it is not the most practical car. Some buy it as weekend cars and find themselves not driving as much as forecasted. So buy it as a track car but change their mind. Some flip them. Many many reason why someone would sell it after less than a year.

Yeah... My major prerequisite for buying my 2002 AP1 was that I wanted only 1 previous ADULT owner.....
I have $63K now and with Car and Driver saying it is the Best NA engine of all time..... I am preserving it for posterity...

Being a 1 owner car was the main reason I was OK buying my 195k mile AP1. 2 years and 15k later it's still a great car and I have no plans letting it become a 3rd owner car.

Data, please. What makes it "not a good thing?"

i'm the second owner of my 01. the 02 I just bought last November makes me the fifth owner of it and it is in fantastic shape with only 95k on the clock. the number of owners means nothing if they took care of the car. but I can say the second s I bought, I was the 7th owner. and yes it was in need of some TLC. oh, the 02 I bought was the third s I've bought. have no intensions of getting rid of neither one. have had the 01 for 10 years now.

with the age range of the car being 7-15 years old, is it really that shocking? at 15 years old, the car changes hands on average of once every 3 years. Multiple owners isn't that big of a deal, how the car was treated over the years is.

Well, I have owned a 1997 Honda Civic since new that is driven to train station daily by the girlfriend, a 2005 Subaru Outback that is my daily that I owned since new and my 2002 S2000 that had one previous owner....

So, none of my cars changed hands that often. Like I say to people all the time when they want to trade in their cars every 3 years and piss away all that $$$$

DO YOU CHANGE YOUR REFRIGERATOR, WASHER MACHINE, HOT WATER HEATER every 3 years??? So why your car????
I never get a good answer.... lol
