S2000 ≠ Del Sol or CRX

A clean, stock, low mileage s2k is going to hold it’s value well.

Very soon there will be very few s2k’s that have all three characteristics necessary.

I know I've only had mine for a little over a year, but from what I've seen in just the time I've had mine is that lots of younger people are buying them and driving stupidly or putting ebay parts on them and destroying them. It makes me wonder how many are left, how many are clean titles anymore... poor s2000s.

I've seen this happen around here, multiple times.

I could care less about the value though, I'm not selling mine.

It's going to be just like the NSX. Beautiful car, limited production, and it has a high floor price. So its not cheap for a 20 y.o car. <<< Same result will occur for S2000's.

What's really important is that when we put our car for sale we keep a high market price. If sellers keep trying to undercut each other prices will continually keep going down under $10,000 like it has this past year. In which case we all lose. So let the teenagers crash as many S2K's as they want, it makes our supply smaller

Another car to think about is the Supra.

i noticed that with the MR2 a few years back. all of the turbo mr2's really retained value well due to how limited they were, and the sellers refused to sell at a cheap price. most were listed online well over their actual kbb.

browsing through kelly blue today, I realized my 2005 increased in value by $1,000 since purchasing 2 years ago. I thought cars were a depreciating asset?
