S2k or 2007-up Si?
Sure, banging your chick with a condom is fun, but without one it's a different ballgame.

I think it is pretty self explanatory.
I would look for an 06+ S2K for VSA. Might help with the snow. The AP1 is far too twitchy and you would have to make sure the tires have good tread. I drive my 03 AP1 like a grandma during rain and even more careful if my tread is getting low.
get a 458 Italia.
seriously though, stock s2k vs stock si... s2k >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> si in every aspect besides music, mpg and cargo space.
as for driving in the snow, if there's a will, there's a way.
Having owned both, I'm glad I got an Si first. However, I was 23 when I got my Si and it was my first manual and am sure an s2000 wasn't the car for me after coming from an automatic Integra. 3 years later (4 months ago) I finally got my s2k after 11 years and it was so with the wait. I have driven it in snow already and she handles great with blizzaks, but I cannot wait to get my summer tires back on since I didn't get too many warm days to fully enjoy her.
The Si wasn't what I thought it would be, but that's only because I had sports car expectations and clearly it isn't a sports car. Best of luck to you when you look down the line and keep in mind to stay patient while looking. It usually takes months to find the right one.

I went from a 08 SI (4DR) to 07 S2000. I can say the SI's gearbox is wayyyyy smoother, its like butter. If you switch cars, expect A LOT of changes (Digital Cluster, not being able to unlock passenger door from driver side, no back seat, smaller trunk, radio can't play mp3s..., etc) but when you make those hard turns you know the SI couldn't ever make, its alll worthhh it. s2000 is raw, simple as that.
I'm 20 and in college as well and live in Pennsylvania. I've driven both the SI and obviously own the s2000 for a reason. Don't worry so much about the snow too much, just get a great pair of snow tires and the hardtop isn't a necessity just because of the snow. Just try and avoid driving in the snow and if need just be careful and you will be fine, given you have experience with RWD. Also recommend a track day to get used to the way the car drives it's very helpful. Go with the s2000

Si gearbox smoother then the world-renown gearbox of the S2000? Thats news to me. Anyone who has driven both cars that can agree on this?
