Default s2k aftermarket mufflers Question?

I'm interested in an aftmarket exhuast dual but after some of the crazy prices and from research on the boards the gains are barely anything and some you lose power also. Exhausts were pretty reasonable on my 300zxTT and other cars I've seen but prices for the s2k are def pretty high.

Basically a dual exhuast would be then for the look and sound pretty much an asthestic mod. I'm wanting one for sound since the s2k one isn't loud.

I'm coming to my senses and realzing if I spend $400 or so on an exhaust than that leaves me no $ for modding for awhile.

If I want that sound and look still can I just get an aftermarket pair of muffles? Performance gain will be 0 but you won't lose any either but again they do look nice and some I heard have the F-1 sound

Any reasonably priced mufflers out there and are they pretty easy to switch with out s2k mufflers? Let me know thanks!!

Spugen is a good value for the dollar approach. Just changing the mufflers could have an adverse effect on this car. Unless you have dyno proven gains, odds are you'll lose power. That being the case, you should just stick with a stock setup.

Also, 400 dollars isn't that much for an exhaust, and this car tends to take high dollar mods to get much of anywhere. Just an FYI.

I know the exhaust isn't for performance really it seems. With most you can get barely 1-3HP and also lose power. Take into the fact that dynos have 2 or so HP errors. I just wanted a little more sound and don't want to shell $500 for a dual which I might do resonator for alil more sound instead. The s2k is really so maxed out from the factory its crazy

I replaced the stock mufflers with stainless steel Magnaflow mufflers. Nice sound, looks great and no loss of HP and only cost $300.00 installed
