If the search is working I would try that. This gets asked about twice a week on this board.

6' 4" is on the tall side for this car. See if you can borrow one for an hour drive. I use my S2000 as my primary car, so it's good to go in that circumstance. The trunk is small if you have to carry luggage, but other than that and no bike rack; the car works.

Mine's a daily driver, but I'm 5'11" and 195lbs., and the only thing I find annoying is relative to my height. IMO, the seat could be a few inches lower, because I feel like I'm sitting a bit high. I also have to duck my head to see the stoplights bwhen the top is up ecause the windshield is not that big.

I agree with mosesbotbol. Try driving one around WITH THE TOP UP to see if you're ok with it. You're going to need more than a short test drive to determine if you can live with the car's interior room.

Im 6'1" 210 and I agree that the traffic lights are right where the windshield top support beam is.

Mine is a DD... I drive around 80miles a day. That's to and back from work.

The S2000 is fine for me as a DD, on the other hand one of my buds drives an '05 lotus elise as his DD... I have no idea how he does that, that car makes the s2000 seems like a luxury ride

I have a 40 mile roundtrip to work that i bought a beater for a year ago and i'm glad i did for stop and go traffic and daily accidents, the s2k is a garage queen that comes out on the weekends which is why it only has 16k miles.

since ur commute is only 5 miles, the s2k could easily be a daily driver.
go for it!

Up here in Michigan we get a decent amount of snow so I'm using my s2k as a daily driver during the summer and my FX45 in the winter.

In Columbus you will see some snow so like others have said, if you are comfortable in the car with the top up and get snow tires you shouldn't have much problem.

I drove my 01 in the winter with the hardtop on and it was decent, but I don't think I would get the hardtop again.
