Default Are S2K owners hypocrits?

I know im going to get flamed but im ready...

Why is it that on here we flame civics and neons for having crazy body kits and huge wings but when the same thing is done to an s2000 it is applauded?

I apologize if I used your car in these pictures. Please try and keep this thread mature.

I agree with you, and yes you are right, you probably will get flamed.

I've been on Honda-Tech for 5 years with my EM1, and it's quite a different scene over there.

To be honest i notice the same thing but i guess if Civics bumpers cost over $1000 may be different just because a full body kit cost about 2-300 for a civic but I have seen ricey civics done up nice but some are just ... crazy spikes flying out left and right grills and what not all in the front bumper I belive its C-west body kit for the s2000 VERY ricey civic like if you ask me

The cr has that large wing i have heard ppl say its rice. But isnt rice defined by "a car part only adding cosmetic upgrade ( or downgrade lol) and no power gains" With the cr the wing is functional. Thus a scoop that does nothing is rice but a functional one is not.

Just because a scoop is functional does not necessarily mean it is not "rice".

I agree that parts like these are functional on an s2000. Functional for the track, useless for the street where 90% of people drive. All of the people that street the s2k will not see the benefits of an aero kit, so they pretty much get it for aesthetic reasons.

A lot of cars on this site are ricey. Who honestly needs a cage in their daily driven s2k?

On a civic these parts would be rice but on a db9 tack car not so much.. Even if you saw that on the street would you think rice or nice.

Not all, for sure. It's just like everywhere else.
