Default S2K - rowing through the gears

"In order for me to extract any power out of the S2K, you have to row through the gears"

That is the whole point!!! Its the best manual transmission in the world so why wouldn't you want to row through the gears? The beauty of the S2K is to marvel at the precise shifts of the 6 speed tranny.

whetrue. true.

i am amazed at the reviews and comments that some of the media have made about this car. i think they just don't get it. the stook is not a drag racer!!! it is not a muscle car!!!! it is a well balanced sports car. that means it has power, finese, balance, and brakes. not too much of any one thing, but enough of all of them to get you in trouble and/or make you do this when you drive it.

the longer i own this car, the more enthusiastic i become about it.

Besides, you don't have to use all of them. Any number of times I zooooom up to, well maybe
a little above, the posted speed and then go to fifth or sixth. Find myself shifting 3 to 5 or 6
or 4 to 6 quite often. Seems like some of the writers think they have to say something bad
about every car they review. Lets tell it like it is... We don't have a clock!!!

Testers have a duty to point out the strengths & weaknesses of any vehicle.

However they make themselves look stupid when they say something stupid and out of context like "its amazing how Honda get 240 BHP fron a two litre engine. Unfortunately the torque is disappointing compared to a 5.7 Chevy tow truck"

They might as well complain the car is draughty and has poor rear seat accommodation.
