Default s2k soft top vs rain

I plan on getting the s2k as my daily drive. During winter, I'll have to keep the car out in the rain for 8-10 hrs in an open parking lot at work. Will the top keep out all the rain? will the soft top material get saturated/soaked? will the soft top eventually leak? Thanks for your help.

I only had the s2k for 2 weeks. The soft top did fine after 3 days of rain. I can't say if it will hold up, that's why I am getting a hardtop.

I suspect that the effects of direct sunlight will deteriorate the top more than rain. I'd make sure to use something like the 303 Protectant to filter the UV.

I don't think you have to worry about leaking, it is amazing how good it actually is!

You may need to worry about deterioration due to prolonged exposure to UV rays. I have only had my car for 5 months so I don't have any long-term experience yet.

Applying a protectant to the top is critical in my mind!

The top is made out of vinyl, not cloth, so I wouldn't worry about the material getting saturated with water and leaking.

I had my car for a yr now, and my top looks perfect. I always use my car cover when I park outside and its not raining. My advice is don't use any protectant.

I'd worry more about the tires than I would about the softop in the rain. The top should be fine.

My car sits outside, always. I also live in the rainy part of the country. Just keep UV protectant on it and all will be well.
