Just think what it'll be like when you pick up your date for the 1st time.

She'll think (FD):

What is that? From the 80s? Oh, it's that car from that cartoon Initial D. Oh, dood's got no money!

She'll think (S200):
Dang, convertible, what is that, ferrari? The badge, 'H', is that like Hyundai? Wow, those cars have gotten a lot nicer since they made the Hyundai Pony. Oh it's a Honda?? Dang, it's a civic with no roof.....

....No, wait.
Next time, find a girl that can count.

FD vs. S2K This matchup has been questioned by many from all over the world. If you ever watch the touge battle on youtube, they both break for a TIE!! Both cars have similar purposes, low weight, high horizontal stiffness, low polar moment of inertia, and center of gravity. Both drivetrains rev to astronomical levels, aftermarket supports the 13B Rotary (grenade), hp levels range from 280-600 for street driving, 5spd only .. As the F20C/F22C can be set between 240-590 (maybe more without sacrificing reliability) but benefiting advanced electronics, valve timing, ignition, and a well engineered 6spd. Both cars have timeless body lines, and great loyalty enthusiastic owners... I have to admit that the distinctive loving sound of a rotary full blast is outright nuts!!! Pound for pound the S2000 will not only outlive the FD, but will definitely hold it's market value stronger, and keep you on the road instead of in your garage fixing.. Hope this helps.. Goodluck..

By the way: I've owned my S2000 since March 2000, w/145k on the odo and I will NEVER sell it!!

hehe thanks everyone for the opinions.
I think I'm leaning a bit over to the s2k side now..

Just a bit off topic, but how much hp can the s/c make without sacrificing reliabillity??? ( just wondering )

And I've actually watched a lot of the touge battles and they seem to be a tie most of the times

I've also seen low 11 and 10 sec s2ks on youtube...

Umm, none? Think about what you just asked. Put more power through the drivetrain and you will sacrifice reliability. The S2K drivetrain is not exactly over built.

True, but to make some reasonable assumptions about what he meant, I would think his true question would be: "At what (HP) point does reliability take a serious downturn if I add a S/C?"

Fair enough. Actually, technically, there should be no problem if you don't make use of the added power but, who would do that?

I get the feel from the forum (I'm not FI so my opinion is only that valid) that 300WHP is a reasonably safe level for reasonable longevity (whatever that means).

I would agree that ~300WHP is a good place to be.
