it seems like lots of you guys are biased. I've had 2 FDs, now a S2000 owner, and I like both cars. the reliability of FD wasn't that bad if you do the maintenance on time. I find FD a bit faster than S2K, but S2K has better gas/mileage ratio, and it's newer. However, if I was given a brand new S2K or FD, it will be a really tough choice for me, but a 94 FD and a 06 S2K, I would take the S2K.
i totally agree. taking care of an fd is not as bad as everyone says it is. the problem is ignorant people trying to turn up the boost without proper tuning and cooling mods. i bought my fd with a bad coolant seal, once i replaced the engine it has never given me a problem. i make around 300rwhp and i take it to the track whenever i can. its also important to let the engine fully warm up before you boost and cool down before you turn the car off after a hard run.

drive both cars and buy which ever one speaks to you.

and remember take whatever you read on the internet with a grain of salt.

that's not true, the maintenance didn't cost me anything near ur turbo on the S

maintenance is just changing the oil (cheap dino oil) frequently, as well as changing the fuel filter and flushing the coolant once a year. if you keep stock boost levels you should have no issues with reliablity.

that being said i would buy the s2000 over the rx7
