when it comes to racing, What stock cars over $25000 does the stock s2000 beat out....and what cars does the s2000 come close to? bmw 330i? 540i? M? porche boxter, etc. thanks for the info

 

My opinion would be a car that costs almost twice as much as the S2000. I've seen stats on the two and they are very close. That car is the Porsche Boxster S.

 

so are you saying the s2k will beat out the boxster

 

My first kill was an Audi S4... those aren't cheap.

The Boxster wouldn't stand a chance, it would put up about as much of a fight as a Mustang GT.

The S2000 is closer to the Boxster S in performance.

Cars you listed and how the S2000 would do against them:

330i -- no problem
540i -- would be close but the S2000 should pull ahead
E36 M3 -- ditto the 540i
E46 M4 -- no way
M Roadster/M Coupe (240 hp) -- ditto the 540i
M Roadster/M Coupe (315 hp) -- ditto the E46 M3

However, you're asking to compare different types of cars with the exception of the M Roadster and Boxster.

 

Exactly what is the competition? 0 - 60, 1/4 mile, slalom, road course, 0 - 60 - 0, what?
Yes the S2000 will beat the Boxster. A lot closer with a Boxster S. My guess would be; given equally good drivers, the S2000 should win some and lose some. How's that for being definite?
