Most insurance companies (depending on the state) will remove a ticket from your record after 3-5 years and you will no longer be priced as a risky driver.

Also, forgive me but I cant resist asking. Is it really that hard to type that extra one or two keys when posting? "wut/what"
ok so if will they drop it in 3-5 years even if i already own the car and dont get anymore speeding tickets and sheit?

just to let you know the ups and downs

you will sure look pretty damn cool with your s2k
but you won't be too cool if you dont even have the money to gas it.

you are paying about 170 for insurance each month, gas would be about 200 if you gas it once a week, plus your payment whichever that maybe, i don't think its a smart move.

but i think it is really up to you, make the decision on your own,
but personally, if i were in your shoes, i would rather just stick with what
you have right now and have a better quality of life and save up for it.
but owning a nice car at such a young age defintely has its advantage! So it's totally up to you.

depending on the company and rules of the state, yes. You can call your agent and get the specifics.

Tickets are tied to the driver, not the car. They dont care what car you drive. Your insurance will be whatever it is, and when a ticket comes off, the next renewal it SHOULD come down in price (again, depending on the Insurance Co.)

Man don't take this the wrong way, but maybe you should think about taking the money and getting an education before you think about buying an "S".

Damn - 800 a month, and obviously you're gonna have to take out a loan which will most likely require full coverage. So with three speeding tickets and probably around the same age i am (19), you're looking at around 227 a month which is what i pay. You're car is also a hell of a lot more expensive than what i bought mine for, so your loan payment will probably be a lot more if not double than what i pay (191 a month). In total i pay about 337 in bills for the car which is 2 years younger than yours and bought for 5k less. I also make more money than you monthly though so I can afford this pretty easily (2k month). Lets just say in 6 months x 800(your monthly wage) thats 4,800 dollars. You'll have about a month before your loan payments start, and realistically you probably could pay the insurance and loan well enough on your own, but then you gotta factor in gas and maintenance and other necessities that as a teenager are pretty common. I love my S, and its an awesome car to drive, but its all about money management. Do the math and see if you can afford it in the long run.

I never thought i would tell anyone this but dont buy a s2000, when i was 19 I done the same thing.. I bought a nice car had like 2 tickets, you will have fun for about 3 months, then when you relize how much money you got going out just to own it, its not worth it, I think you sould wait..

But no one could tell me any diffrent when i was 18 so, its up to you.. Goodluck with your decision, post pics when ou get it!

S2k is the most sportscar for the money period. What else comes close to the performance, handling and looks? Boxters are too much money, maitas are too small for me, corvetts are way to big. But its gonna kill you on insurance. Why dont you wait untill your tickets drop off, and save your money and get a beater for now. You may enjoy your s2k more if your not working two jobs to pay for it.
