OK, I really can't believe I'm thinking about this, but we need to decide where to have S2KDays '02. The reason for the early decision process is because we are going to combine a great weekend of driving and local site-seeing with a full fledged track day. We will have the whole track for a day of lapping sessions. So, based on this, we need to decide what track we want to reserve. Tracks will be opening up their calendars for the 2002 season soon.

The event will be moving to the left coast to accomadate those geographically "left out" of the S2KDays '01.

Vote for one of the choices and if you have a write-in, please vote for "Other" and post your idea below.

The results of the poll will help us make the final choice for the 2002, it will not make the decision as there are many variables going into account here.

 

I was going to vote other and write in "Greg's house" or "Meat's apartment," but I don't think Greg wants that many people at his love shack and Meat gets anxious in crowds...

 

I voted other. What about a place more centrally located? I don't know where, but that would make it more accessable to more people. My two pesos...

 

The reason that we are picking the left coast is because no matter where we pick - people are alienated. The country is too big to make everyone happy with a decision like this.

I'm surprised at the large # voting for Las Vegas -- is there a road course in the center or something? Seems to me that ovals are kind boring and needlessly dangerous?

 

yes there is a VERY nice road course at the Vegas facility. I ran there two weekends ago.

 

I picked Las Vegas because I could be sure that my wife would have plenty of activities besides watching me drive. Besides, it is an easy drive for us Arizonans!

I can't vote for some reason, but my vote would definitely be for Las Vegas. . . beautiful scenary on the strip to get a great magazine pic. . .or if it can be worked out, there could be a great set up pic on the front court yard of the Bellagio.

My other vote would be for the salt beds of Utah. Great area to do sanctioned 100+ mph runs (161+ mph runs for members like Scot).
