S2ki.com is There For You at 7000 Miles
At 7460 miles, my MAINT REQ'D light came on. Instead of running to my Honda dealer, I immediately went to the FAQ section of this site and found the procedure to reset it. I was concerned because I thought VTEC was disabled (like when the CHECK ENGINE light comes on).
Later, I called my Honda salesman (when I purchased, he didn't know about it or warn me). He says now he has to fix it once in a while when a customer encounters a service advisor who still doesn't know about it.
Folks here quickly straightened me out that VTEC should still work when the MAINT REQ'D light comes on!

No doubt about that, S2Ki does provide some useful informative procedures and guidelines. It sure saved me from the spring savers problem I had when I picked up my car, think about it ... Even Japan has such problems.
The other day I also hit 7460 miles and the maint req. light came up. For a second I thought it was the Check engine light, so I was in panic like crazy! Then after like a min or so, I realized, its the maint check light, not the check engine light! LOL
