"If you can do something about the situation, then do it. Otherwise, why worry?"

Something to take into consideration. If you want Honda to add power and/or forced induction to the motor, then write a letter to them. Otherwise, worrying that all these other cars are catching up in technology and possibly putting our S's down in a straight line isn't going to help anything. Enjoy the S for what it is intended for which is looks, build quality, reliability, fun factor, and being a corner monster.

Alright, let me speak my final words on this topic and put some closure to others once and for all.

It was never about performance. Whoever told you that is in a deep case of denial. Why do people get expensive cars or good looking cars? The very same reason why I chose to buy an S2000

TO INCREASE MY CHANCE OF GETTING LAID!!!!

End of the story. Do that with the Cobalt SS, sucka!!!

Before Andre locks this up (which I hope he does ) I just want to say how ironic it is for many of the posters in this thread to jump on Andre (OP) for voicing his displeasure at the car being slower than its competition, while many of these same people will buy aftermarket/exhausts/intakes for their S2000s in an attempt to make it faster and modify the car the way they do.

Seems somewhat hypocritical to do this and claim that the S2000 is 'perfect' the way it is.
