S2ks are in trouble
Hey guys,
What attracts me to the S2000 is not just that it handles great, but the interaction with the road that it gives you. You FEEL the car, road and environment around you. Very good feedback.
My WRX might have decent acceleration, but it doesn't come close, at least stock, to the responsiveness of the S.
A couple of months ago, EVO magazine voted the E30 M3 better than all others, due to it's "fun factor"

Dude, have you ever driven a GT3? I have (a friend owns one), and find your comments laughable. No, they're not the best daily drivers, but I'm wondering where you came up w/ some of those claims.
.....
Yes!
I owned for 1.5 years, 15K miles, Type 996 GT3. Extreme car, the best in many ways, but all that comes at a price, and not just the price of entry.
Cheers!
Just my 2 cents
Everyone or majority of people say the s2k was not meant as a drag car but more of a balanced vehicle and a corner monster. i think majority of the people "complaining" or wanting more power compared to all the other cars for thousands less means the s2 should have more useable power in a straight line then what it has now. Then again shouldnt we all know that hondas are not known for their monster toruqe numbers?

It has nothing to do with that. I didn't buy the car for the drag strip... I Auto-X 95% of the time, so so much for those replies.
All I'm trying to say is that this motor is pretty much obsolete right now (8 years old... going on 9 years). They really need to keep up with the competition for the price they're charging for a new S2k.
Soccer moms in their minivans are keeping up with us.
And also... haven't you noticed more people with S2ks are all going more and more Forced Induction?!?!?!? Doesn't that say something?
Andre

Everyone to agree with you?
Yes, you are correct.. the engine is obsolete, and the technology is
not the best out there.
if it bothers you this much, why dont you write a formal complaint letter to Honda headquarters
Or perhaps, do what I did and....wait for it, wait for it... Buy another car?

Just a thought
