S2ks are in trouble

Year 2008 is ending. Still, there is no better car for me for the money. If there are people like me, Honda will keep making the S.
and just get some boost.
An MGA takes 17 seconds to reach 60 MPH, but in their element, they are every bit as much fun as a supercharged S2000. My old 850 Spider had a whopping 49.9 cu.in. (817 cc) and took over 20 seconds to reach 60 MPH, but I've never owned a car that was more fun and enjoyable. The very best roadsters NEVER have the quickest acceleration, because power means weight, and a great small roadster is as much about size and weight as anything else. The S2000 is actually very heavy when compared to the traditional roadster, but it captures more of the driving experience of the traditional roadster than anything else money can buy.
Not everyone likes that kind of thing, but real sports car guys would always chose an MGA or 850 Spider over a heavyweight like a Vette, and those who don't understand this kind of thing probably shouldn't even consider an S2000.
This is a niche market car. If you aren't in the niche, quit complaining and go find a car you like. Honda is not listening and doesn't care, because they understand the niche for which they designed the car. No other modern car comes anywhere close to the driving experinece offered by the S2000, but it's not the kind of thing everyone is suppose to like, so just get over it. Those of us who appreciate the car fully, for what it is, don't care what you think, because we're nothing like you, and your opinions don't matter to us.

I dunno about everyone else, but I drive my car on the street. Every day, all year, to and from work, all on nice back roads, I do not need more power. Sure I might want more power, but I would say a majority of sports car owners like to have more power. However I would never be able to use it where I drive, and would see much more benefit from a good set of coilovers. This is a roaster, they aren't meant to be super powerful or fast, they are meant to be light and agile. To be enjoyed on a sunny day weather you are carving the mountains doing 70mph or cruising to the beach at 25mph. 240hp is more than enough.
