I don't know if anyone's noticed, but some of Honda's recent ads show the entire car line up sans S2000. Might be a sign...
I think someone in Honda's marketing team is having fun!

It's no lie, there is a short article about the rumored new Honda sportscar in the 60th Anniversary Issue of Road and Track, available at all the usual outlets. Sorry I can't scan a drawing of the rumored sucessor to the S2K, but it's a cute little thing.
Said to be about the size of the Miata, to be equipped with the K20A (Civic) powerplant, about 200 bhp and 160 ft-lb.
To weigh under 2800 lb and perhaps cost under $30K (!)
The article also mentions the possibility of a "semiautomatic transmission". No chain drive is mentioned.
The Honda S800 comparison is drawn because the new car is said to be "smaller and more civil" than our pride and joy.

Any my beef with the NSX is when you are getting a car thats creeping up on costing 6 digits then ffs i dont wanna get smoked by every Z06 that comes by, for acouple more dollars you can get into a 360, they do sell used for 120K range. And owning a NSX was like owning a Ferrari with maintenance bills and such, just without the power, speed and handling the 360 offers.
what the hell is going on in here. how many people in here thinks that the s2000 value would go up if they discontinued the model? one of the reason NSX became so expensive is because they didnt come out with a follow up model for it. some one in s2ki has to know if this rumor is true or not.
its gonna ba hard to sleep tonight

Please correct me if im wrong, but I thought a majority of the price on the NSX is because of the "exotic look" which added about 50K to the car which shoulda been around 40k IMO.
