I actually can afford the car only because I watch how I spend my money - I am a middle school teacher and my wife is a day-care provider...the irony that someone would buy a car with such an awesome dedication to quality and the environment - and then imply that proper stewardship of those resources within our control (gas, money, etc.) is somehow "beneath us" as S2000 owners is a little baffling!

BY the way, I have Honda Car Cover I can sell you for $240...I know it is more than you could get it for at the dealer ($219), but if you can't afford a 10% increase in cost...

Ouch! Do those prices make you think twice before using VTEC, Pancho?

i get my gas from Costco Gas. since i'm a member already for other stuff, the cheap gas is just another bonus. $1.759 per gallon of 92 octane gas, pretty cheap in the LA area.

Stookster,

I only drive the stook in the weekends,it's a hobby that costs me 0,1 dollar a km.
For daily use i've got a Renault Espace the company pays for the gas.

I've got an Amoco/Visa credit card that earns me a rebate (5% that's applied to the next bill) on all the gas I buy at Amoco stations. It was free, and since my local Amoco stations don't charge any more than Brand X stations, it's a pretty good deal (if you consider $1.50+/gallon gas a good deal, that is).
