Scathing review of Mx5 v S2000
We had this article in a local newspaper about a week ago. Got mailed to me by another S2000 owner, who was actually quite upset. My reply:
"Haha, I saw that! In a funny way, I

Let them... We know better! Below 6000 rpm the S2000 is as exciting as a Toyota Tazz!? Is the Tazz (whatever it is) that exciting!? Woaw
I can imagine the MX5 2.0 will have tons of torque more than the S2000 below 6000rpm... Yeah, for sure... NOT! I call B.S.

Did the author say "whack the hell out of it...." referring to the power delivery of the car? This person must work for Mazda....and be whacking the hell out of it. Take the car for what it is and its purpose built factors.

Next, he should compare the s2000 to the hyundai accent
The hyundai has better ride quality, more interior room, MORE CUP HOLDERS, less wind noise, more modern looking cabin
Wow makes me want to sell mine and get one right away

Yes, my S2K has a few quirks and that is why I love the damn thing. My other cars: Austin Healey 100-6, MG Midget, and I used to race a Porsche 356. I do not want a car that anyone can drive fast. My preferred ride, the S2K, will take some driver expertise, a large dose of judgement and a willingness to participate in the driving experience. Those who do not posess these qualities or desires can go elsewhere, we don't want you in our little group.
