Scathing review of Mx5 v S2000

The review came from a South african newspaper - as part of their "motoring section". Generally publications are quite polar wrt their views re the S2000. A month or so ago, "Cars in Action" raved about the S2000, stating that for it's purpose nothing can surpass it. I stay in a sunny, rather well-off part of SA, which means that roadsters are a dime a dozen around here.
On the avg Saturday morning, you'll count around 10 SLKs (new)/Z4s/Miatas, 15 Porches, 1 or 2 Ferarris etc. Seeing an S2000 though is a rarity.
You all probably know this anyway, but in SA the MY06 models are 2.0litre with VSA and headrest speakers. We do not get the 2.2 here.

I stopped reading the article after the first few lines, you can tell this guy is biased and misses the point of the car entirely.
All I know is I parked next to a new miata the other day and next to the S it looks like a turd.

I enjoy a review where the reviewer says what's on their mind. If they don't like the car, then so be it. As others said, this guy's priorities don't match up with mine at all, so again... so be it.
And, guys, really why do you have to slam other cars and each other for that matter? Face it, if it weren't for the Miata, there wouldn't be an S2000. Whether you like the car or not, at least realize that the Miata paved the way.
