there's no problem w/ what he's sayin, i guess a guy's entitled to his opinions. but he lost all credibility when he said: "we were never totally in love with the s2000 gearshift quality." and for him to rate it 3rd, behind VW nevertheless is just absurd by any stretch of imagination.
his opinion also seem to waver in the wind, if what they liked a few years and perceived as strength can change so drastically and so quickly further depletes any merit of the judgement or review.

 

Perhaps he would be happier with a Sebring convertible.

 

To tell you the truth, I could care less what the "experts" think. The Miata is for chumps, the S is for people who like to drive.

 

How can the Mx5 be a better car...it cost less than the S2k.

It paints us out to be chumps and wannabes who overpaid for under performance.

This stinks!!

 

It's nothing more than an opinion. Chances are anyone who is considering getting an mx5 or an s2000 cares more about fun than the quantifiable figues of a car anyway.

 

I just like the fact that this car is dangerous and only for experts. It makes me feel like an expert driver

 

Oooh the S2K is so edgy - it feels like my life is on the line everytime I get in it.

I'd like to see their MX-5 vs Elise/Exige matchup.

 

The S2000 wins!
It has the fastest soft top
It lets the most wind through your hair
That is what Soft Tops are all about.

Why do people get so upset on bad reviews? His views on what he finds uncomfortable, we find irrelevant. What he finds appealing, we find it irrelevant.

Different tastes for different people.

 

Human nature. Everyone should love the S2000.
