Default seat update

I've posted a few times about wanting seats with a height adjustment. This is what I've found for those who expressed a similar need. Recaro Trend looks to be a good fit and can be ordered in various colors in fabric or leather. Pro-Am in Houston can order them in black leather with power for $1499.00 and 199.00 for brackets. This does not include labor which was about $54.00 an hour. The sales person figured an hour for installation. I also researched BMW. They wanted anywhere from $3519.80 - $5156.40 per seat for the sport seat which seemed to be a perfect fit. This, of course, did not include the rails (487.50 per) or labor (didn't bother to ask). My little seat pad is looking better all the time. I also think I've figured out a way to keep it from sliding (not real fun during twisties). I'm going to try placing a rug pad underneath my existing cushion or buy another seat cushion from Bed, Bath and Beyond that has it sewed to the bottom. My only concern is the possible melting of this material onto the leather with this wonderful texas heat.

Try attaching some "ties" to the cushion. Then tie it to the seat back supports.

Pro-Am - sure they have neat little items in their shop, but when you pay that kind of price for those seats you are paying for their inventory that's been sitting there for some time. Find what you want in their shop and order it online. As for labor, that is, if the rails are a direct replacement, do it your self - heck, hubby can do it, right? Or else, go to the same place that the one houstonite had his custom made roll bar and kirkey seat put in.

Where did the Houstonite go? I'll do a search but if you happen to know off-hand, would appreciate.

Are you only looking at leather seats that are preferably powered?
