why will your insurance go up? it wasn't your fault.

do your rates go up if you're victim of a hit and run or theft? if they do, then im wrong and that sucks. i was under the impression that rates only go up if you're responsible/at fault.
his insurance WILL go up, so will yours, mine, and every other s2000 owner. Insurance companies dont go broke by paying claims. they will get their money back. dont worry...

I am curious if the new 2006 seats will be as desirable as the older ones. Maybe the older seats will be viewed as old when these new seats start becoming more prevalent. Sorry about the seats.... Will

Bastards did the same thing to my S. It's a royal pain in the ass when it's your daily driver.

BTW, my ins co ended up dishing out $4500 to cover my costs. Of course that wasn't "new" replacement value. They will take a "betterment" on the top and seats.

For substantially less than 7-8k can't you obtain aftermarket seats that are better than OEM?

sorry to hear of loss. I pray that never happens to me.

Insurance should not go up, as it is a comprehensive claim, which by nature is a no-fault claim.
Whether they have that 3 claim+drop tactic I dont know. If this is your 3rd in ten years, I would think you are ok. 3rd in 3-5 years, definately a drop.
But I sell insurance, and your rates should not go up, as this is a no-fault situation.

I am going to look into these seat locks. Thank heaven I garage my car every night.

They are already committing a crime and just realized they are getting nothing for their efforts.

Sure they can stick around and teach the owner a "lesson", but every second they stay there is increasing their chances of getting caught - for no gain.

I would rather have slashed seats, a slashed dash and a kicked in door while knowing full well those a-holes will be getting nothing for their efforts. I'll take satisfaction where I can get it.

As an afterthought, if they cut the shiat out of their hand messing up the car, Great!
