$9K for seats! You could get the best aftermarket seats on the market!! I have no idea what the wheels cost, but I'm sure it's way up there too! Really sorry to hear that your stuff got stolen, I'm getting paranoid with all these threads recently.

....or maybe it's just a scam to sell more of Kodokan's seat locks?

Good luck with the parts! You say there were 2 churches near by...maybe God thinks you deserve NEW parts?

Did you have wheel locks on the rims? If so...then they would have needed an airgun to strip them off. It's pretty loud and hard to miss.

FYI for you all. You don't need to slash the tops...

You can pull the window away from the convertible top a good 6 inches and reach in to unlock the door.

Definitely need a proximity alarm.

Optikal....would doing that ever damage the window or door? I'm thinking of doing it if I get locked out of the car.

You bet!

Most likely you be using your knees against the door for leverage and can cause ripples in the sheet metal. And the windows, when rolled all the way down, will be slightly skewed (but the windows go up and down without any problems). Otherwise, there is no leaks when the window is rolled up. Plus, you could scratch your windows, especially the edges.

for those reading. you all might want to also invest in some lug nut locks.

btw, the jack isn't from the trunk is it?

You might also consider removing the electric trunk release button from the inside compartment. I unplugged mine and just use my remote to open the trunk. I also don't have to worry about locking the compartment if I'm parked and the top is down. If they want to get into my trunk, they will just have to pry it open.

Thanks all for the replies...

Anyway, as was mentioned it seems they just used a screwdriver to pry open a good gap at the top of the window, reached in, and unlocked the door. The officer found some fingerprints on the top inside of the driver's window, along with some small scratch marks. Unfortunately the prints weren't very good since the car was baking in some rare Seattle heat that day and the oils evaporated.

The car was left up on jacks... Honda jacks, strangely enough. I noticed they had Honda labels on them and were the exact same ones as the one in my trunk. We gave them to the police and set the car up on my jack and a jack from my sister-in-law's Jeep.

My top is in perfect condition, thank goodness. The only damage was the scrape on the window and a fair sized deep scratch near the front right fender.

I hadn't even realized that I did not have wheel locks. I called up the dealership and they said that they were supposed to be on the car. I got the car off the showroom floor, so maybe they overlooked it. I'm going to hit them up for some free wheel locks with a phone call in to the salesman today. I'm hoping they'll be kind (smart?) enough to get them for me.

I'm in the GB for the seat locks. I'm also looking around for a decent alarm and a cover, but can't really spend a whole lot since I just bled $500 to Allstate. Suggestions are welcome.

Thanks again everybody...
