Default Security System Option

Last time I looked at the options available, it seems to me there was a 6 point security system option that cost about $650. I plan to buy one of the 2002 models in a couple of months and my dealer is actually saying 'don't waste your money - the basic security system is enough.' I can hardly believe he is passing up a sale. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks!

The factory security system option does not have advanced functions like motion sensor, glass breakage sensor, backup siren etc.. so u should get an aftermarket security system like clifford or alpine..

Actually, the factory alarm does have a glass breakage sensor.
