Default Seeing to back up

My wife and I drove a S2000 today and she noted that see could not see the back of the car. She is 5'5" and was worry about backing up and hitting something, so I would like to heard from others who have this problem and what they do to over come it. I have found threads about lowering the seat for people who are too tall, but nothing about being too short. I am 6'1", so I don't have the same problem.

Hope she can see the back of that Suburban...! (Sorry, Texas slam - wife is from Denton!) Sometimes one has to trust the mirrors. Even at 6'1" you can't see the FRONT of the car. DON'T LET HER TALK YOU OUT OF ONE!

I don't think her talking me out of it is a problem, she is already worry about who will bail her out of jail (speeding tickets). Her biggest complain is that you really can get the car out of 3rd gear, and now wants to go to a high speed driving school.
She has the problem see out the back with the top up or down, and yes she many have to learn how to use the mirrors.
BTW the SC Tacoma is her truck.

You use the rear window and supplement with the side mirrors. I have a 2001 so my rear window is a little bigger.

I'm 6' and even with the roof off I can't see the back of the car when backing up - I doubt very much if any owners can. It's a problem with most cars today, not just the S2000.

Simple, if you're too short and cannot see ... Install a set of parking sensors, they're very affordable these and most practical nevertheless.
