On Sunday on a drive in my S2K I felt after a few miles some vibration through the clutch pedal and a slight change in engine noise! This happened for about 5-6 miles then stopped! A friend tells me it could be the thrust bearings on their way out! As it has appeared to have sorted itself out I don't want to fix something not broken however this could be a warning sign! Has anyone else experienced this? the car has 49k miles on the clock. Time for a new clutch??

 

I had an old 5.0 mustang that felt the same way and it was the catalytic converter that was self destructing, but I could swear it was the clutch. All I am saying is until it is constant it really could be a few things, but self healing, sadly no.

 

Lol living in hope. Although no return of the haunting noise when dipping the clutch as of yet! I used to own a Peugeot 206 gti and had this happen on that car too, seem to recall it costing a small fortune!

 

Clutch still fine (at least 2000 miles later) apart from clutch pedal sticks half way down occasionally!!

 

i wouldnt say thats fine...theres definantly an issue there
