Sell or Store?
Store it!! Where in the UK? I spent 4.5 years living and working in Peterbrough next to the A-1 motorway! You'll really enjoy it! Make sure you go round and see the estates and castles. I really loved it. People are friendly and speak a similar language. Don't worry about the right hand driving, you'll get use to it quick. By a mini and use it when you get there. There cheap, get great gas mileage and run really well! Great road raceing courses. Go see the motorcycle GPs and the F-1s. Great Snooker Clubs. GREAT STUFF! Wish I was going with you!

I'm not sure where I'll be, but it will be in downtown London. My company is still looking for suitable corp housing, which they will be paying for.
The folks who are already over there said I won't need a car as parking is almost impossible anyway. The public transit system there is supposed to be rather good, if not a bit stinky

Do the following:
1.) Store the car in a secure, single-car garage.
2.) Switch your insurance for the next six months to "pleasure car" meaning less than 5,000 miles a year (you can switch back when you get back and drive it more).
3.) Go to the UK and make some money!

The financial analyst in me says that it makes the most sense and saves the most cents to sell the car. Sell or save the mods for the S2K that you buy when you get back. You can take advantage of the higher resale value now, have money in your pocket now, make no payments while you're in England (on insurance or car note), and mentally you won't be worrying about your car while you are in England.
The car guy in me says keep it, especially if you're attached to it. I know how attachement is, I am attached to my Prelude and my S2K. You just don't want to let it go!!!
Opinionated conclusion: Sell the car, unless you've got alot of time and heart spent on your particular S2K. My Prelude has a lot of my blood, sweat, and tears put into the work I've done on the car. I would never get rid of it. However, my S2K, even though I love it, can be replaced by another S2K, or another car (M5, McLaren F1, F355, F360, and so on). To top it off, you can never know what'll happen in England. YOu may get a job offer out there, you may find a significant other, your 6 month assignment may turn into a year long assignment, etc.
If that happens, you may be burdened with more problems to take car of when you get back home.

Ever think about leasing the car to a friend or a somebody for 6 months. This way it can be driven, paid insurance on, stored in a garage hopefully. Then when you get back it will be run and in perfect condition.(if its not have the person fix it, binding contract)
Hay its better than selling it and better than loosing money on insurance.
Though somebody else is going to be playing with YOUR car. Maybe a friend wants a sports car for half a year!

Pinky,
Believe me, I've had tons of offers just like that. I'm not real hot on allowing, even a good friend, drive the car. I like to know where my miles came from.
Another caveat just came up. I spoke to my insurance company and thet said that you have to maintain insurance. If you allow your policy to expire for 30 or more days, you are considered a new driver and subject to higher premiums. Even if I sell the car, I'll have to insure something. buh
On the good side, In texas, you can drop liability insurance if the car is in storage. This means I could fulfill my lenders requirement for comp and collision and reduce my rates a good deal.

I say store it.
That is what I'm already doing 4 - 5 months of the year. I doubt that driving the S2k in the weather we are having would be a good idea.
I am jealous (big time) of you folks that are driving topless now!
What to see what we are dealing with on the tundra?
