Are you sure it doesn't have anything to do with the clutch and not the tranny?

Thats why i am asking on here. Maybe it really isnt a tranny issue? Do you think they misinstalled the clutch? Or it isnt engauging enough or something? I do also know that the tolerances for tranny are listed incorrectly for 04 (or something like that) and if they are not in the right range i'll cause this problem. Maybe they are just rebuilding it to the wrong specs? Or they are sloppy mechanics?

Right now i am having problems with being locked out of gears, popping out of gears etc during normal driving, and esepecially during braking.

My ACT PP with oem disc is supposed to have more clamping force than stock. Is it possible this is a clutch adjustment issue somewhere?

I got the HTG kit with an ap1 flywheel because hundreds of these kits have been sold without problems. (at least that i was able to find)

As much great press as the ACT clutch gets, there is a fair amount of discouragement for people to buy them if you look in the right places. The heavier pp is not necessarily a good thing...

do some searches, maybe send a PM to ya at inlinepro - I believe he's said some things about the ACT clutch before. You might want to try a Competition Clutch - I really can't see why anyone wouldn't want one when it comes to aftermarket clutches.

As for the tranny - if it came down to Honda not taking care of you, I'd just look for a quality used transmission here and having a good mechanic take care of you. If you ever wanted to come down to Atlanta, I have a great personal mechanic that would definitely do the job right.

Good luck

Actually now that i just thought of it....It is definilty not the clutch causing this issue. I had this problem before the clutch kit was installed.

I had the issue with 3rd gear before the HTG clutch kit was installed.

I have done my research on the clutch kits and i couldnt be happier with my purchase. Now I just need to get this tranny issue taken care of before i take my own life from frusteration.

Good luck I had the same deal with my GST Spyder. Not popping out of gear but with rust in the engine bay and a rip on the top. Dealers a biatches for dodging their responsibilities. Sorry bro for your troubles. Mine pops out of 4th sometimes but eh, after reading your post...why fix one gear and have another one get messed up. hahaha

all this has really gotten me down on honda. I was pretty excited to finally get an S2000 after so long. I have worked really hard to get it and now i am having this ongoing nightmare with the dealer and my car.

I went test driving other cars recently and really nothing appeals to me like the s2000 does. But I am terrifed honda will screw me again on the warrenty if i buy even a new one. I dont know what to do.

I'll be contacting American honda again soon to see what they say.

Really simple. Get an attorney, quit dicking around with that dealer and go right to the regional level. YOU HAVE NO OTHER ALTERNATIVE.

First of all it has nothing to do with the gearset. LOL or the moon cycle, for that matter. That is a classic shift fork issue. Very rarely a hosed geartooth will do this, but you can see the tooth damage. These monkeys have no idea what they are doing and you need to stop having them pretend to rebuild it and get a new rebuilt tranny. The first decent letter you write to honda will get that for you and case closed.
