they replaced the 4th gear shift fork and it still has the same issue (though much less frequent)

your exactly right. The gearset did show tooth damage. I saw it with my own eyes (on the first rebuild)

Christ I wish I could somehow get Honda to investigate this shoddy dealership and bring the ban-hammer down. They are worthless.

They treated you badly and you kept going back for more of the same?

If you didn't drag race all the time and abuse your clutch/tranny, this wouldn't happen.

I hope your being sarcatic Smoovep.

I have NEVER drag raced my s2000. I know how bad slamming through the gears is, and I know that launching the car is bad for the tranny. Well actually more so the the DIFF. Not once. I have NEVER launched the car. Never been to the drag strip, any autoX or circuit track.

I do not abuse my clutch or tranny.

Don't these guys ever test the car after the job. Seems like as many times as you had to go back for the same issues that they would test their work first. Or at the least, you take them for a ride ride when you picked up you car the third or forth time before you left the lot knowing of their incompetence. Hope you get this resolved soon.

I really dont think they are testing it after they do the work. My steering wheel is Obviously out of place, the tranny is worse now.

I didnt have time to take them for a test drive since I was on my lunch break from work.

I called American Honda and awaiting to see what they will do.

Go to a different dealer. My dad drives 50mi to get his car service at the dealer where he bought the car, even though there is a dealer right down the road for the same make that would do all the same stuff.

Quality. Don't let this turn you away from Honda, they are great cars, but the warranty thing is horseshit. Go to a different dealership or contact Honda and the BBB.

No clutch problems and no chipped or worn teeth leaves only the fork.
Are they rebuilding the transmission and replacing the same fork that came out of the previous tranny?
Go back and ask someone to throughly inspect the shift fork since rebuilds or nothing else has worked.
Ignore this dealer and go somewhere else.
Make a copy of this thread and send it to Honda(service complaints)
Good luck.

I spoke with the general manager of the dealership and I'll be confering with him tomorrow to see what action will be taken. I am hoping for good news. We'll see.

of course i got the same line of BS how my driving is causing the problem.

I explained that in each case it was their workmanship which caused the problem. Since I happened IMMEDIATLY after picking up my car after the rebuild.
