Speaking of monstrocity....I recently bought a fairly rare car that's come from Beverly Hills...and I plan to drive it all year in IL.

I feel really terrible for having done this.

12' Si bone stock. Missing winter tires I just bought 07' TSX rims and Michelin x-ice I3s.

We got a good foot of snow this morning. Turned off traction control and had a nice Drifting drive before the snow plows hit the road. The LSD does a great job Ive driven Si's thru manu snow storms they hold up pretty well.

Japanese cars are regarded as "Crap" here ein Germany. People are brainwashed. Really. German Car Magzines are a bit... biased.
Only german cars are good. Even when they break down every now and then, owners just dont care. They are still the best. Othe car makers for sure make worse cars.
As i bought my S2000, everybody wonderd why i bought "Japanese crap", a "car for Women" and not a proper sports car for man like a Z4. Hey, the Z4 is sportier, it has this "Sport" button!

And the say we germans dont have humor...Sometimes reality beat even Monty Phyton here.

My 100 miles/day commuter/beater is a 2005 1st Generation Honda Insight 5spd. 1st Gen Insights were made in the same plant alongside NSX and S2000. Honda globally produced a total of 17,020 1st Gen Insights (2000-2006). I replaced the steering wheel with a leather S2000 steering wheel bought on Ebay. Vtec begins around 3,200 RPM and stays on to the 6,000 RPM Redline.

Substitute Mustang or Camaro at the end of that sentence, and you could just as easily be talking about USA instead of the Father land.

A large majority hereare muscle car fanboys. hp is all that matters, and by that measure our cars are inferior. A 6 cyl Mustang would get more respect from these people.

So we can feel your pain. I think a lot of people drive a car that impresses others. A person that doesn't care what others think is willing to drive the car that impresses themselves.

I know. I often just say "Oh yeah, Yes, yes..." (German way to say: Kiss My A**) and smile inside. I have bought the car just for my self.
Sometimes, when i am in my "i am a Jerk" mood, i ask them about if their cars have double wishbone or Mc pherson suspenion. The faces are often priceless.
If i want to impress others, i just could do it quick and easy and buy one of the gazillions of used M BMW or AMG Mercedes that are around here.
