Who the hell cares about a shaky shifter? I think it's cool and quite mesmerizing. Think of it as the ultimate shiatsu. Reminds me of what my Harley-riding friends say women like most about those bikes.

Jon

The dealer won't warranty the supercharger, but comptech does. my dealer keeps saying that since they are installing the SC, it will not void the vehicle warranty. However, it is not the dealer that backs the warranty, it is Honda. When I bought my car, they wanted to sell various add-ons, including extended warranty. Because the extended warranty is thru Honda and not a third party, I said I was interested but would have to read the agreement before committing. after reading, I said the only way I would get the extended warranty is if they explicitly added a statement saying it would not void the vehicle warranty to add the SC. They haven't stepped up to the plate yet on that, but I haven't pushed them either. The jury is still out.

I have seen dyno charts for centrifugal blowers and I realize it doesn't start adding torque/hp until the revs are up some, but since you have to keep in the right rev range anyway, I figure the added torque lower down will make a difference. What we really need is a roots blower SC, but there isn't one out yet and I don't want to wait. Besides, more torque is a good rationalization (however weak) for getting a SC, don't you think?

yeah, all our shifters shake. Its good in a way, not only because of the mechanical precision, but because it gives a very "as one" connection between driver and car. Taking you down to the basics w/o all the fluffy comforts of a luxury car. I have a '94 prelude VTEC and just like most sticks, its solid as a rock, so its not nearly as exciting to drive. When I grab hold of that 6speed while its shaking around, its like a grabbing a wild ferocious (and hungry) animal by the neck and taming it as it tries to claw and lash out at you. Ok, maybe I went off the deep end there. But what I'm trying to say is that...it's fun.
