Default Shifting to 2nd gear

Guys,

I have had my S for 3 months now. It has been 2 times now where I was shifting into second gear but got kick back (didn't go into gear). Maybe lazy shift?

I haven't remember with other cars I owned in the past.

Just curious if anybody had mis-shift to this gear?

Tony

I know when my tranny has not warmed up yet(first 15-20 min of driving) my s will sometimes(fairly rarely, like 1-3 times in a week) kickback from second as well...I try and pay extra close attention in the first 15-20 min of driving on my shifting so I'm able to correct it as soon as it happens otherwise I end up in neutral revving the motor looking like a Douche(especially w/ the top down).

Mine does it as well if the car is not warmed up

Its happened a dozen or so times in the last 2 years.

it was my 2nd time driving a s2000 yesterday and i noticed the 1-2 is very weird. i know it's short throw but it feels like when i go from 1-2 it doesn't even feel like it's going into gear. on my car when it feels like that it actually doesn't go into gear and i just end up revving the engine but i noticed it's actually in gear for the s2k.

so is it just me or is it every s2k that feels like that it doesn't go into gear from 1 to 2? this was an 06 btw.

I have the same prob, even after my car is warmed up. 2nd pops out, especially when shifting fast and getting back on the gas quickly. I recall there was a TSB or similar, but can't find it anymore. It's not in the TSB thread on s2ki. If someone can find it, that'd be great.

I have had this happen twice now on my 07. My wife funny enought the first time she drove my car said the same thing that it didn't feel like it was going all the way into second. I have had it 'pop' out of second though out of gear and both times I was pulling.
