You don't want to mess with that. Honda tuned these engines for peak performance while meeting strict emissions standards...it's tough to squeeze out more performance without adding forced induction. Enjoy it for what it is and remember that it shines when you have to use the steering wheel, not just the pedals!

done with flashpro software and only 06+ are comparable, VTEC engagement is also throttle dependent.

Technically the 06-07 are different than the 08-09. The 08-09 has stiffer suspension slightly, different seat designs, TPMS, different wheels, different cluster, option for CR, different color schemes. That's all I can think of now. 05-->06 gets VSA diff seat design, wheels, suspension.

all changes were up to 06 (HUGE list of changes) . 07-09 only have minor changes.....another minor suspension revision and TPMS which i think is actually a disadvantage

If you want to stay stockish, testpipe, or HFC - buy a VAFC and get it dyno tuned ('WOT tune' should only take 1 hr at ~$150 per hour).
you will probably pick up 20 to the wheels in midrange for sure and that's pure useable power. that'll be the best bang for the buck and that's where i started.

with these minimal amount of mods it should be well within the VAFC's effective tuning range and since it's only a piggyback that affects WOT and vtec the car drive virtually like stock unless you have a heavy right foot.

VAFC allows you to set minimum throttle, load thresholds so a vtec @4500rpm wont engage when you are only cruising down the street.

so 250 for a vafc + 75 for a testpipe w/ antifouler + 150 tune and massive midrange gains...no other mods will do more for the money at this price level. a filter on a stick will run ya 250 or a exhaust will be in the 600's. they will NOT make much without tuning...

It's preference at this point. Personally I picked the AP2 because it's newer (less crap to break/fix/replace initially), the F22, and the body style. If you really want the AP1 feel, just swap in CR shocks/springs on the AP2 and run a non staggered setup. While I do miss the 9k redline, the AP2 features more than make up for it.

If you plan on a modding project, the AP1 would be better unless you plan on doing a stroker kit...

If you really want power, why keep beating around the bush and just get f/i? For the amount of effort/time/money used, you might as well get a used turbo or s/c kit...
