I think it'd be a kick in the pants to drop a Corvette engine in the S, but I'd never have bought one that way. Frankly, it's too much engine for the S. I'm not a drag racer; I'm a backroad "carver."
The simple fact is that I love 4-cylinder engines, and I really admire Honda's engineers for the achievement of the F20 (and now F22) engine. I suppose it has flaws, and people like to bitch about lack of low-end torque, but I sure don't see it that way.
I'll take the good gas mileage and LEV rating, thank you very much. Makes me feel that much better about driving it. And, oh, that 9K scream!!!!!!

Right on, Charlie. The main reason the 383 is still in my Camaro (and not my S2000) is that it would go against everything my S2000 is all about; against the singular reason I bought it in the first place.
But, it would be pretty sweet to pop the hood and see a 750 Dominator...
And to smoke that SRT-10 Viper in a Honda.

American cars are good? Don't know what you are talking about. I think there are just as many problems with Jap cars as there are with US made ones.
Shoot, I had an 85 Fiero SE V6 (Auto) for a first car and it didn't need a new trany till over 120K!!! THen there was my freind's 90 Accord LX who had to get a new engine before 85K! To say American cars are unreliable is crap, its all about how you treat it and take care of it.
My dad's C5 has around 20K miles on it and he put 18K of those on and hasn't had to replace the rear tires once. My Saturn seems like it should be broke, but its not, shoot Saturns have Honda engines in them now. I don't now where I'm going with this but, to say one is better than another is kinda talking out your @$$.
On topic though, I don't think a LS1 or LS6 would be good in an S2K, its too small of a car....
