wouldnt the S2000's rate be comprable to the civic's anyway since the civic si he's buying is brand new it'll still cost a lot to insure. i mean, technically it IS a brand new sports car vs the s2000 which is yes, a roadster, but its older and much less expensive in terms of value.

If this is your first car, don't get the S.

I really am inclined to get the s2000, its just I feel spoiled if I do get one. I think everybody is going to call me a spoiled b****, and other bad things. My friends ask why would I need an s2000, and give me reasons to not get it.
i was the youngest of my friends to get an s

let them think what they want, as long as you're not an ass hole and you're humble about it, no one can say a word. that means you have to responsible in the s, no revving off to ur friends, refrain from talking minimal crap.

oh, and if you're a respectable s driver, you'll pull ever more chicks.

i was 19 when i got my s

As another member mentioned, if this is your first car, don't get the S. Even if you think a little you're going to to be on the wild side driving this car, don't get it. The S2000 is not a very forgiving car with one wrong move. Just my .02.

On the other hand, if you don't fall on any of the above statements, buy the S. It is one of the most fun cars I have ever driven. And it looks sexy.

To be honest with you, an s2000 at 17 is a dangerous thing. I had a 96 4 door civic in auto when I was 17. (I'm 24 now) I know what its like to be 17 and into cars. I was in the canyons a lot, i even had that civic sideways at times. I was the only one among my friends that didn't crash, and they all had cars like civics. I thought i was a driving god, and i was immortal. I was just a ****ing idiot.

An S2000 at age 17 would have lasted a couple months max.

I was in the same thought of mind before I bought my S2000.

I asked myself, if I were at a red light, sitting in a Civic Si, would I care if an S2000 pulled up next to me? Would I be thinking that I made the wrong decision?

Now another thing to factor in is insurace and cost of ownership.
