^^Should work or at least lessen the effect considerably.

I had a hard time with my side badge adhesive as well. I just kept at it with a microfiber cloth and some rubbing alcohol. Elbow grease and alcohol and alot of patience.

Sorry to hear about your painstaking efforts returning a negative. I've got the S and 2000 badges put away. I don't mind sending them to you if you want them.

well after seeing pictures and removing my front and rear badges for ricks replacments i came to the conclusion that this is not the oem adhesive. My best guess is that its super glue... so the new plan is just to buy side emblem replacements and recover the glue residue....
If it is super glue just dab it with nail polish remover. Done.

Front and rear H badges are easy to remove. The side badges are a pain though.

Got a tool at the parts store(auto zone) just for that. Cant for the life of me think of the name of it though. body man told me about it. One end looks like a pencil eraser, only bigger. the other end went in my drill. Worked like a charm and removed every bit of the adhesive without as much as a scuff.
I was about to mention that. They make what I can a rubber eraser wheel. It's like the erasers you used in art class in school. Kinda a light tan color. Sometimes called a pinstripe eraser. The one's I've seen at a body shop attach to air tools. It works like a champ. They may make one that goes on a drill. Hell, it may be the same tool for either.

I used a heat gun to soften the glue and rolled it off with my finger. used goo gone only to remove the very minor stuff at the end.
BTW use the heat gun very sparingly, you don't want to bubble your clear.
this is what i did along with hours of attempts to pull of the goo.
it did come off, not to mention that i buffed it out afterwards.

very long process, but looks a lot better when its done.
