Side marker lights
Red,
I'm pretty sure MD does emissions checks, but doesn't it also check things like the blinkers and such? If so, and the testing area gets testing, you are essentially running an illegal car without the sidemarker...I'd have to look up the law again, but you need to have a blinker that can be seen from the side of the vehicle.

Around here, the emissions check is just that - as far as know you can have bald tires, burned out lights, etc and they don't seem to care. They check to make sure you have a cat converter, unleaded fuel restrictor, tight gas cap, and either a clean sniff of the tailpipe or a clean ODBII you are good to go.
Seeing some of the rolling heaps on the road and folks who never check their lights, I sure wish they checked this stuff - but they don't.

If a cop doesnt see it he may not think it should be there, also keem in mind the big amber turn sig in the headlight, thats next on my list of things to do.
If I had to get inspected, I would get a cheep surface mount trailer light and stick it on with dubble sided tape just long enough to get through inspection.
