That "Silver" can infront of the radiator?

That "Silver" can infront of the radiator?

I dunno whats its for-- my car is black, and that silver can looks a little funny to me..would it be okay to paint it black? Do I need to use high-temp paint?

It's the receiver for the A/C. By the way, when you look into the front grill, it's the condenser for the A/C you are seeing, not the radiator.

Several people who installed upgraded horns have also painted their A/C receivers black while in there.
