Honda doesnt have any plans of changing the S2000 any time soon. Hopefully!

Actually, balsa wood sandwiched between two sheets of metal is used in the floor pan of the current Corvette, and is carrying over to the new C6. The engineers said they couldn't find a material (even exotic) that was as strong without adding significant weight. And apparently it does a good job blocking out sound as well.

Wow, the Type R article has resurfaced... I'm pretty sure I remember it was someone who wrote it as part of their journalism class as an assignment, so it's completely made up.
