Default smoke coming from dash vents

ok, here is the scenario. MY01 65000 miles, had a broke valve and cracked retainer repaired about 4000 Miles ago, since then i have been real paranoid about how the car was running, but havent had any problems. Today, after about 10 mins of driving, nothing hard(just goign to work) while sitting at a stop light, i noticed just a tiny bit of smoke coming in through the vent to the right of the steeringwheel. it was nothing to noticable, and i probably wouldnt have seen it if the light wasnt right. it only lasted a few seconds while i was at the light. i looked to see if the car in front of me was smoking, and i didnt see anything, so i pulled off and popped the hood, there was no smoke or anything under the hood, and no smell inside or outside the car. i tried driving it a little harder to see if i could get it do to it again, but it wouldnt. btw, the vent was set on the upper and lower vents, on the first green light, and recirc. was off. does this sound bad to anyone, or should i just forget about it, and keep a watchful eye out.

thanks

edit, AC was off, and the temp was on the hottest.

Smoke is never good, not on the INSIDE Tony. But if it doesn't repeat and all electronics are working I would take a wait and see approach. The interesting this is you didn't smell anything. Electrical shorts STINK.. OIL leaks stink. Very odd. But sounds like what you would see when the AC has been off for a few minutes and then turned back on and the steam flows from the vent. I assume you have seen that before?

Hope this helps.

Try to replicate what happened double check that it wasnt your AC. It just sounds like condesation blowing through the system but keep your nose on the ready for any odd smells.

It completely sounds like it would be vapor from the A/C system, but that usually only happens when you have the A/C running (not just the fan). I am not a thermodynamic specialist by any means so I am sure that under the right conditions it could happen without the A/C on though.

I would not worry unless there was an obvious odor.

Maybe your 007 smoke screen deployment jets were clogged?

I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe it was oil that they spilled and it dripped onto the header.

Have you changed the cabin filter? Every time I inspect those things they are disgusting.

I would blame it on condensation - or choked flow in the A/C & vent system.
