Default So that's what the front of an s2000 looks like?!

After about 2 years of ownership I finally know what the front of my s2000 looks like. I dared to remove the front license plate and plate holder. It's damn beautiful! The problem....

I live in Califor-Japanese sportscars beware-nia.

I don't think Sacramento is as strict as like the bay area or LA because at the last 2 meets I was the only owner with a front plate on my s2. I hope I don't get a GD fixit ticket. I guess we'll see.

Have you Bay Area guys and girls had problems with this? I go to San Fran quite a bit and wonder if this will be a problem?

If you will go to the Bay Area forum, you will see that indeed, people in the Bay Area do have problems with "no front plate" fix-it tickets. The reason is that many Bay Area cities have (or will) installed red-light running cameras and therefore the local police are cracking down on cars without front plates.

SF is especially bad because they have a lot of cameras installed.

Actually, for me, the Fresno cops aren't too bad. I've been pulled over once in the S2k, but that was a Clovis cop. He could have easily wrote me up for speeding, but he let me go. Fresno police don't seem to worry about the front license plate deal - well, not yet anyway.

On the otherhand....

I'm taking the s to LA this weekend, I hope I don't get busted with my naked front. It just looks so much better though!
