Honestly, it's not worth risking a ticket for something that is so small and inconspicuous.

Maybe not to you but as can be seen on this thread, others disagree. And I am with them. 1.5 years of no front plate and no tickets.

I got one of the first the first day they went on sale in the US (think it was sept 13 or 17 1999; vin #175) and have never had my front plate on and never a problem. Watch though after posting this I bet I get pulled over!
