Default Softer Suspension

I don't track the car, or need maximum performance. I would like a softer ride. Has anyone changed their suspension to make it softer and have suggestions. Thanks

The S2000 got softer spring rates with development age ,state what year you have and go from there.

I want to buy one, I have test driven a couple and like everything except the hard suspension.

I get it, for maximum performance its desirable, but I'm just looking for a fun car to drive on road trips.

It's a bit harsh to me for long distance trips.

2006 has the most compliant suspension.

Is there an after market suspension combination that will make the ride softer?

Yes, tires.
I have over 200k miles on our '06 and I run taller tires than stock. We have put 150+k miles on it with taller tires and we won't ever go back the the stock size. We go on long(8000 mile +) trips in our S and the taller sidewall soaks up the rough roads much better than the stock size tires did.

S2000 suspension is over damped and can sometimes feel crashy, though it does perform and handle well.

If you want something more compliant feeling but that gives it that confidence inspiring taught feel, the ones that come to mind are Bilstein PSS/PSS9 or Ohlins DFV with standard spring rates.

I have koni yellows on stock springs and the ride improved considerably. I'm also using ap1 wheels fit the extra sidewall.

I still wouldn't consider it a road trip car though.

rrounds,

By chance do you remember the taller tire size you are using?

Thanks

Has anyone tried a 15" rim with a 60% aspect ratio tire? Or a 16" rim with a 55% aspect ratio tire ... something that ends up near the diameter of a low profile tire on a 17/18 rims?

Think long road trips, not canyon carving or track days.
